Your expertise for our audience. A straight trade.
Why write for us
You get a genuine editorial placement, not a paid link: a byline and up to two dofollow links on a real, topically relevant page, next to content written for a narrow, high-intent audience.
We get original, useful content for readers we care about, from people who know the space. Nobody pays anybody.
Topics we accept
- Pricing and cost: what a service or tool should cost, and what moves the price
- Vetting a vendor: what to ask, red flags, how to read a proposal
- Buy vs. DIY: when to hire out and when to handle it in-house
- Timeline and ROI: how long something takes to pay off
- Diagnosing a problem: why leads dried up or rankings dropped
- Comparing options: one channel or tool against another, with a real recommendation
- Switching providers: changing vendors without losing ground
What we won't publish
- ×Generic "5 tips for small businesses" listicles with no real decision at the center
- ×Thinly veiled advertising for a product, tool or competing agency
- ×AI-generated content that hasn't been substantively written, fact-checked and edited by a human
- ×Duplicate or spun content published elsewhere (we check)
- ×Anything outside home services, construction and the trades
- ×Unsupported statistics, invented case studies, or claims we can't verify
Length and format
- Minimum 1,500 words. Most strong submissions run 1,800 to 2,500 words
- Clear H2 and H3 structure, with a direct answer to the core question right after your first H2
- Practical, specific guidance: real numbers, real steps, real trade-offs
- A short FAQ section near the end, 3 to 5 questions
- Submitted as a Google Doc with comment access, or a clean .docx or plain text file. No PDFs
- Your suggested focus keyword and a meta description of 150 to 160 characters
Our SEO and quality bar
Every post here, guest or not, is held to the same standard:
- One clear focus keyword used naturally in the title, first paragraph, a subheading and the body, never stuffed
- A logical heading hierarchy with no skipped levels
- An honest, specific meta description within 150 to 160 characters
- At least one relevant image with descriptive alt text, if you have one (we can source one too)
- Genuinely original value: a framework, worked example, comparison table or sourced data point
Link rules
- Up to 2 dofollow links total to your own site, company or tool, in the body or your author bio
- 1 to 2 external links to credible, non-competing sources are welcome where they support your claims
- We may add 1 to 2 links from your post to relevant content on our site, which keeps our internal linking sound
- We may remove, adjust or nofollow any link that doesn't meet these guidelines or the promotion requirement
After your post goes live: the promotion requirement
In exchange for the dofollow links, within 7 days of publication you (or a partner company) share the live post on at least 3 different social media profiles, then send us the links or screenshots at content@leadsakolytos.com within that same window.
A genuine guest post should bring visibility both ways, not sit quietly collecting a backlink. If a post isn't shared and confirmed within 7 days, we reserve the right to adjust the links.
How to submit
- 1. Email your draft to content@leadsakolytos.com with the subject line: Guest Post Submission: [Your Proposed Title]
- 2. Include the full draft (Google Doc preferred), your focus keyword, a meta description, a short author bio and your preferred author links.
- 3. We reply within 5 business days with an acceptance, revision notes or a pass. We'll always tell you why.
Do you pay for guest posts?
No, and we don't charge placement fees either. It's a straight trade: your expertise and reach for our audience and platform.
Can I republish the content elsewhere later?
We ask for first-publication rights and prefer the piece stays original to our site going forward, with no simultaneous or later republishing of identical text, which protects both of us from duplicate-content problems.
What if my post needs work but the topic is good?
We'll come back with specific revision notes. We do a final editorial and SEO pass before publishing, but we won't rewrite a thin draft into a strong one.
How many guest posts do you publish?
A limited number. We're protective of our editorial calendar, so not every submission we'd accept gets a fast turnaround.
Can I include a company product mention?
A brief, non-promotional mention in context is fine if it's genuinely relevant. A post built around promoting a product or service will be declined.
